This Soviet 1 Ruble Coin was produced in Russia in 1965 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Russia's Victory Over Fascist Germany in 1945. The obverse features the coat of arms of the Soviet Union which includes the infamous hammer and sickle. The lettering on the obverse can be translated to, “USSR, One, Ruble.” The reverse features the Victory Monument from Treptow Park in Berlin of a Soviet Army Soldier holding a child and standing on top of a broken swastika. The lettering on the reverse can be translated to, "Victory Over Fascist Germany." The lettering on the edge of the coin can be translated to, "One Ruble 9th May 1965."
