This silver 5 Reichsmark coin was struck by Germany from 1935-1936. One side depicts Portrait of Paul von Hindenburg (1847-1934), a German soldier and politician and the president of the Reich from 1925 to his death, facing right and the mintmark behind the portrait under the date. The other side features Imperial eagle dividing the date and the denomination. Each Third Reich 5 Reichsmark coin measures 29 mm in diameter (approximately the size of a US Half Dollar) and is struck in 13.8 grams of 90% fine silver.
