Random Date Liberty Head Nickel
The Liberty Head Nickel or V Nickel, designed by Charles Barber was produced by the United States Mint from 1883-1912. The obverse features a profile image of Liberty wearing a coronet and wreath. She is surrounded by 13 stars representing the original 13 colonies. The date can be seen at the bottom. The reverse features a large Roman Numeral V for 5 representing the denomination of the coin surrounded by a wreath. Also featured on the reverse are the words, "United States of America," and, "E Pluribus Unum."
